Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n\u2022 Support customers across the power system lifecycle: startup, commissioning support, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergencies; identify and present additional sales opportunities to customers \n\u2022 Provide 24/7 on-call availability in field service engineering and technical support for electrical power distribution equipment \n\u2022 Proficient in power distribution, troubleshooting, test equipment operation communication, policies, software, parts knowledge, and safety precautions \n\u2022 Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, service shops, and other organizations \n\u2022 Possess knowledge of UL, NEMA, and NEC standards. \n\u2022 Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties. \n\u2022 Manage multiple projects independently \n\u2022 Mentor less experienced technicians \n \nTeam Benefits:\n\n\u2022 Guaranteed 40-hour base pay, eligible for overtime and travel premiums \n\u2022 Career growth, mentorship and safety training \n\u2022 Company vehicle, toolkit, and phone \n\u2022 Tuition assistance for ongoing learning \n\u2022 Leads program with bonus pay \n\u2022 Opportunities across 32 service branches\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications \n\u2022 High School Diploma or higher with a minimum of 5 years of field service in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems, or in lieu of HS diploma or GED, completion of accredited trade school and/or program completion with 9 or more years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems \n\u2022 Must be able to work in the US without corporate sponsorship now or in the future \n\u2022 No relocation offered, candidates within a 50-mile radius considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation \n\u2022 Must have a valid driver\u0027s license \n \n\n\nPreferred Qualifications \n\u2022 Associate\u2019s degree and/or military experience \n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in engineering from an accredited institution \n\u2022 Electrical or General Contractor\u2019s License \n\u2022 Professional Engineering License \n\u2022 Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, analysis as well as protective relays \n\u2022 NICET/NETA certification\n\n## Skills:\n\nPosition Success Criteria:\n\n\u2022 Successfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton\u2019s safety program and policy; This includes role-applicable portions of the EESS Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) program and any required annual re-certifications thereafter \n\u2022 Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings \n\u2022 Must have the ability to work variable hours, including nights \u0026 weekends, and travel within the district/state/region/country based on customer requirements. \n\u2022 This position requires you to drive an Eaton vehicle \n\u2022 Must be able and willing to obtain Department of Transportation (DOT) non-CDL qualification and comply with all DOT regulatory requirements, if required. \n\u2022 Understands 3-phase power systems and low, medium, and high voltage power distribution equipment. \n\u2022 Performs physically demanding tasks, requirement to stand, walk, stoop, squat, kneel, and reach above, to, and below shoulder level, lift, carry, push, pull, and use hands to handle and feel. Frequently required to climb. Regularly required to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to push/pull \u003e 50 pounds with assistance. May be required to drive extended distances, work in extreme weather and temperature conditions, work at sites with areas that have poor lighting, ventilation, and dust and/or be exposed to high noise levels. \n\u2022 Ability to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card \n\u2022 Proficient with hand and power tools for equipment assembly \n\u2022 Strong computer, problem-solving and logical thinking skills \n\u2022 Works well under time constraints and in stressful situations \n\u2022 Explain technical problems and solutions \n\u2022 Collaborates effectively with the team to meet project deadlines\n\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
