Commercial Fire Protection is seeking a Lead Fire Life Safety Inspector in the Phoenix Arizona area. There's never been a more exciting time to join our team! Responsibilities include testing/inspecting and servicing fire systems - including fire alarm, sprinkler, extinguishers, and other systems - to the prescribed standards; performing on-site emergency troubleshooting; programming and repairs of our customers fire alarm systems; identifying code and non-conformance issues; and preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports.
Skills/Qualifications:
3+ year of experience in inspecting, servicing and troubleshooting fire alarms
Familiar with NFPA codes
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices
Preferred: Level 1 Fire Extinguisher license from the state of AZ
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals
Install Sprinkler mains and line piping using a variety of materials (Sch. 40 & Sch. 10 black and or galvanized pipe and fittings, CPVC pipe and fittings) per blueprint specifications
Install a variety of Sprinkler Systems (Wet, Dry, Deluge, Pre-action, Fire Pumps) per blueprints, specifications and building codes
Install valves, devices and trim for system risers, alarm valves, dry pipe valves, Pre-action valves, and Backflow Prevention devices
Installs sprinkler heads for a wide range of applications per blueprint and knowledge of applicable sprinkler codes
Knowledgeable of NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14, 20, & 25
Knowledgeable in the installation of Steel pipe, CPVC, C-900 & ductile iron piping
Proficient in the use of Pipe Threaders, Groovers, hand and power tools
Be knowledgeable and adhere to all OSHA and CFP’s Safety Standards
Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements
Demonstrate a high level of customer service, strong organization skills, and positive attitude
Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements
Pass a pre-employment background check
Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred
Fire Extinguisher License (State of AZ).
NICET Certifications and Other Fire Certifications
Backflow Certifications is a plus.
