Provide technical expertise to lead and perform complex analyses of scientific data and technical materials for the purpose of determining impacts
of offshore wind project development
on biological resources and aquatic habitats.
Evaluate the effects of
onshore,
nearshore
,
and offshore
development activities on various fish species, marine mammals, and aquatic habitat
s
.
Work with the Renewables Americas Permitting and Environmental Affairs teams
to coordinate the
review of required permitting
and environmental impact
submissions e.g., EFH and MMPA documentation.
Advise and develop recommendations
for
projects to avoid, reduce
and restore habitats and populations in line with the mitigation hierarchy and Equinor’s environmental management system
.
Lead specific technical scopes
required
pre-, during and post-construction
e.g., fish compensation economic analyses,
Federal survey mitigation measures,
regional research project coordination,
and multi-year benthic and fish monitoring programs.
Contribute to or serve on a variety of international, , regional, or local science or management bodies, including regional Fishery Management Councils,
Fishery Technical Working Groups, industry associations, etc.
to provide
expertise
and to share program research plans and results.
Serve as a primary technical expert for a variety of communities, government representatives, non-governmental organizations, and academia on fisheries or water resource management.
Provide oversight over one or more phases of research work in facilitation of primary duties, including:
determining
research methodologies,
planning
and conducting experiments; collecting,
analyzing
and interpreting data; drawing conclusions, making
recommendations.

Salary range $116,285 to $174,480
