Lead Food Server

The Lead Food Server position is responsible for: Oversight of the Dining Room operations, potential to host in the dining room, providing supervision and work direction to Dining services staff. Participates in recruitment for positions within the department. Monitors the quality and timeliness of meal service and monitors all infection control procedures.  Prepares and delivers special functions.

Positions available include working every other weekend and every other holiday:

• 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. - Part-Time - 72 hours per two week pay period

Qualifications

Education:     Degree in Food and Nutrition is preferred.

Experience:

• Requirement of three years experience minimum in institutional nutrition services or high end restaurant serving experience.


• Two years supervisory experience within the food service industry.


• State and County Survey experience. 


• Experience within senior care industry is preferred.

Demonstrated working knowledge of nutrition services functions and related federal and state regulations
Demonstrated abilities to participate in and collaborate with groups
Ability to positively manage and communicate change and to model appropriate behaviors to staff and others
High level of commitment to and success with effective customer service skills
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Effective time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Working knowledge of personal computers and related software, including word processing, graphics, and spreadsheet applications
