Lead Front End Engineer - Suffolk County, NY (Ronkonkoma NY)

SouthTek Resources in currently seeking a Lead Front End Engineer for Our client’s Suffolk County, NY office.

The Lead Front End Engineer is responsible for leading the UI development of key components of specific management solutions. This position leads his/her team to deliver timely, high quality software within defined budgets and schedules.   

Lead Front End Engineer:
•    Experience as a Senior Front End Engineer using technologies such as AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and related
•    Solid general understanding of the components, what happens on the front end, what happens on the back end
•    Sold understanding of web services, ability to answer how RESTful web services work
•    Ability to specify RESTful services that the front end consumes and how the back-end should provide the data
•    Understanding of data formats such as JSON and XML
•    Ability to lead UI development and provide lead and direction to 1-2 off-shore resources who may be helping on a particular task
•    Understanding of JavaScript toolkits and open source libraries to deliver creative and rich user experience  
•    Experience with responsive design, browser compatibility and graceful degradation
•    A strong plus: *Ability to code in JavaScript without the use of frameworks or libraries
•    A strong plus:  *Ability to code in jQuery
•    Knowledge and experience with Winforms/WPF is a plus

Key required skills:  
•    AngularJS, Javascript and Javascript frameworks, HTML5, CSS3, RESTful WEB SERVICES, JQuery.  
•    Although this is a Lead position, the candidate would not need to be heavy exp,
•    Probably 3-5 solid years would earn the position.

Position is Permanent, but client will consider a Contractor on a R2H basis.
