Full time, 40 hours – Monday through Friday
7 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Oversees the daily operations of the front reception area
Maintain neat and organized workstations, inventory control of office supplies
Operate telephone system, route calls, convey messages and provide information to callers as appropriate and as authorized
Greet and direct visitors, update Excel visitor log
Delegates other duties to off shift and weekend receptionist as appropriate
Identify areas of improvement in the communications department and, participate in the problem solving and implementation of action plan

Complies with all hospital safety and health regulations including emergency management procedure and annual safety re-orientation
Treats patients, their families, visitors and other staff members with respect, courtesy and compassion
Assist with providing coverage for receptionist staff on an as needed basis, assuring seven day per week and holiday coverage

PREREQUISITES:

Ability to communicate in an efficient and pleasant manner
Must be able to maintain composure under extremely busy circumstances
Basic computer skills
Previous receptionist experience preferred
