The Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for contacting and following up on inbound sales inquiries. They will identify sales opportunities, pre-qualify prospects, and assign to sales staff and track them. This person must be able to engage with prospects/customers in a way that creates a superior customer service experience. Throughout the workday this person will be using various web-based research tools to look up customer and product information. In addition, the Lead Generation Specialist will identify needs and refer leads to the appropriate resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Articulate the company's capabilities and value proposition
Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of service and product offerings
Develop a superior customer service relationship with both prospects and support teams
Proactively research and stay up-to-date on company products/services and competitive products/services
Assess buying interest to qualify sales leads based on specific lead qualification criteria
Assign qualified leads accordingly and request updates on leads and quotes with sales team
Update lead/opportunity interactions within spreadsheet or CRM platforms (SalesForce)
Provide monthly activity report to management
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or lead generation, preferably in a B2B environment.
Strong understanding of lead generation strategies and tactics.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proven ability to analyze data and trends to drive actionable insights.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company.
Physical Requirements: include occasional lifting/carrying of 10 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
