Job Description - Lead Go Engineer

This engineer will serve as a primarily hands-on technical lead, guiding a small Agile team of engineers in close collaboration with the client. This role involves shaping technical design decisions, mentoring junior team members, conducting thorough peer reviews, and driving increased team velocity and delivery quality.

What You'll Do

Work as part of a highly skilled agile pod using leading edge technologies such as Golang, AWS (S3, DynamoDB, and Lambda), and Datadog
Own technical design collaborating closely with lead engineer
Own development team delivery quality and user story execution
Boost team velocity by developing and implementing quality code in line with acceptance criteria and definition of done
Estimate and break down user stories or tasks
Coach and guide junior software engineers
Assist production support team and trouble shoot more complex issues
Actively participate in sprint ceremonies

What You'll Bring

10+ years of software engineering experience
4+ years of Golang (Go) development experience
Professional experience with DevOps and technical applications such as AWS, DataDog, Opsgenie, etc.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills, while working independently
Experience leading a small team
Consulting experience working directly with both client engineering and business stakeholders
Experience supporting software applications
Experience with cloud technologies
Collaborative team player who is a self-starter and eager to learn new things
Programming knowledge in React is a plus
Experience with JIRA is a plus
