THE JOB:

At Fallen Oak, every detail of the landscape tells a story of excellence and Southern charm. As a Lead Greenskeeper, you will play a key role in shaping the beauty that surrounds our world-class golf course. From maintaining lush gardens and pristine pathways to leading a skilled crew in daily landscaping operations, your work will help create a breathtaking environment that reflects the prestige of Fallen Oak. With a passion for precision, teamwork, and the outdoors, you will bring the property to life—ensuring every view leaves a lasting impression on our guests.

THE STARTING RATE: $21.40 an hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Lead and support Greenskeepers in performing daily maintenance of greens, fairways, roughs, bunkers, and course perimeters
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment used for mowing, grading, aeration, tree work, and other golf course maintenance tasks
• Oversee and participate in project work, including soil preparation, sod laying, seeding, and drainage improvements
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides according to turf management best practices
• Monitor moisture levels using turf management tools to sustain optimal playing conditions
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, organization, and proper storage, ensuring preventive maintenance standards are met
• Inspect the course daily and report turf conditions, equipment issues, and project updates to Assistant Superintendents
• Ensure safety protocols are followed for all equipment operations and crew activities

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Exhibits 2+ years of prior relevant work experience in horticulture or landscaping
• Holds a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Possesses a valid driver’s license as required
• Demonstrates hands-on experience with irrigation systems, turf management, and pest control 
• Brings flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
