Job Description - Lead Healthcare Business Analyst (W2 only)
Terms of Employment W2 Contract, 6 months This position is 100% remote. Candidates must be comfortable working Eastern-hours.
Overview Our client seeks a Lead Business Analyst to join their Product Management Team. The role will focus on a project consolidating various lines of business—Utilization Management (UM), Care Management (CM), and Appeals and Grievances programs—onto a singular clinical platform, GuidingCare. Currently, UM and CM are managed through HealthEdge's CareManager, while U&G is handled via Hyland's OnBase. The goal is to decommission these disparate systems for increased efficiency and organizational benefits. The project begins late June.
Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and design requirements for the new platform. Document existing processes, CMS requirements (particularly Medicaid), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Work closely with clinical teams to ensure smooth adoption of new processes. Develop and provide SOP training to teams to ensure business readiness. Work with the clinical team to integrate new processes and ensure seamless transition. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance or related field or an additional 4 years of experience (12 years of experience in total). 8+ years in business analysis. Prior use of Microsoft Office applications. Significant existing knowledge of Medicaid Proficient understanding of clinical operations, Utilization Management (UM), Care Management (CM), and/or Appeals and Grievances (U&G). Experience with OnBase, CareManager, or GuidingCare clinical platforms. Proficient in using Jira for documentation. Ability to hit the ground running with minimal margin for error due to the decommissioning timeline. Ability to organize stakeholder meetings. Strong analytical skills to document and streamline processes effectively. Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with clinical and technical teams. Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and process implementation. Proactive in identifying and resolving issues to ensure smooth project execution. Preferred Skills & Experience Master's Degree or MBA
