Company Description

We're representing a rapidly scaling AI company transforming one of the largest and most critical professional services industries through advanced AI agents and automation. The company has grown from fewer than 20 employees to more than 120 team members in a short period of time and recently raised a $100M Series B, bringing total funding to over $140M.

Backed by leading investors including Accel, Google Ventures, and Khosla Ventures, the company is entering a period of hypergrowth and expects to continue scaling aggressively. As they expand toward several hundred employees, they are seeking a Lead IT Administrator to build and own the company's IT function from the ground up while creating scalable systems that support a world-class engineering organization.

What You Will Do

  • Own and operate the company's entire IT infrastructure, identity systems, and endpoint management environment.

  • Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, provisioning, and access management.

  • Build automated workflows for account creation, permissions management, device provisioning, and SaaS administration.

  • Administer identity and access management platforms including SSO, SCIM, MFA, and role-based access controls.

  • Manage a Mac-first device environment, including MDM, security baselines, patching, compliance, and lifecycle management.

  • Lead corporate security initiatives related to endpoint protection, access controls, audit readiness, and security operations.

  • Support SOC 2, ISO 27001, and related compliance programs through technical controls and documentation.

  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize SaaS tools, licensing processes, and vendor management workflows.

  • Leverage AI tools and automation to eliminate repetitive operational tasks and improve scalability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across devices, networking, SaaS platforms, and office infrastructure.

  • Partner closely with Engineering leadership and company founders to support organizational growth and security objectives.

Ideal Background

  • 5–15 years of experience in IT administration, IT operations, systems administration, or related technical roles.

  • Experience owning IT operations end-to-end at a high-growth startup with approximately 50–300 employees.

  • Proven experience supporting rapidly scaling organizations through periods of significant headcount growth.

  • Strong experience administering Mac-first environments supporting engineering and technical teams.

  • Experience implementing and managing identity providers such as Okta or similar platforms.

  • Hands-on experience deploying and administering MDM solutions such as Jamf or Kandji.

  • Experience building automated onboarding, offboarding, and provisioning workflows.

  • Strong understanding of endpoint security, identity management, access controls, and security best practices.

  • Ability to operate as a highly autonomous individual contributor with strong ownership and initiative.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.

  • Experience with Okta, Jamf, Kandji, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Tailscale, Google Workspace, and modern SaaS ecosystems.

  • Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks.

  • Strong scripting, automation, or software development skills.

  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to automate workflows, improve support operations, and increase productivity.

  • Experience working at high-growth Series A–D startups, particularly within AI, software, fintech, or infrastructure companies.

  • Familiarity with zero-trust networking, VPNs, endpoint compliance, and modern identity architectures.

  • Interest in scaling systems proactively rather than operating reactively.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $130,000–$200,000+ (flexibility available for exceptional candidates).

  • Competitive equity package with meaningful upside potential.

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage fully paid by the company.

  • Unlimited PTO and sick leave.

  • 401(k) program.

  • Daily meal stipend and fully stocked office.

  • Annual professional development opportunities.

  • Opportunity to own and build the IT function at a rapidly growing unicorn-scale company.

  • Direct exposure to founders, engineering leadership, and key business decisions.

  • High-impact role with significant autonomy and visibility across the organization.

  • Work alongside a highly technical team building cutting-edge AI products.
