Adolescent Wellness Academy is a PHP, IOP, and virtual treatment program serving adolescents and their families. Grounded in harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and family systems work, our Kendall-based program delivers culturally responsive, evidence-based services in a collaborative and highly supportive setting.
We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual Lead Licensed Therapist to join our Kendall clinical team. This role is ideal for a clinician with deep family therapy experience and the capacity to lead, mentor, and deliver high-quality services in a structured, fast-paced environment. The Lead Family Therapist will oversee the family therapy track, support less experienced clinicians and interns, run groups, and maintain a small caseload of both families and individuals when needed.
Provide weekly or biweekly family therapy sessions for PHP clients and their caregivers
Lead multi-family groups, parent support sessions, and intensive scenario-based family therapy work
Support individual therapy when needed, taking a small caseload to relieve primary therapists
Oversee and evolve the family therapy program structure, including outcomes and curriculum
Act as a point of contact for parent concerns, de-escalating conflict and communicating with professionalism and empathy
Assist with clinical supervision of master’s and doctoral-level practicum students (if qualified)
Support documentation audits and ensure timely, compliant clinical records
Provide mentorship, coaching, and constructive feedback to team members
Participate in clinical meetings, quality improvement, and team collaboration
Contribute to outreach, professional development, and occasional community presentations
Required:
Active Florida license: LMFT (preferred), LMHC, LCSW, Psy.D., or Ph.D.
Fluent in Spanish and English
Minimum 2 years post-licensure providing therapy to adolescents and families
Strong experience in family systems, trauma-informed care, and adolescent development
Ability to lead groups, support parent engagement, and work collaboratively across disciplines
Skilled in crisis assessment and de-escalation
Organized and timely with clinical documentation
Natural team leader with strong interpersonal and feedback skills
Preferred:
Experience working in higher levels of care (PHP, IOP, RTC, or inpatient)
Qualified Supervisor (QS) credential in Florida or interest in pursuing it
Experience training or supervising interns and early-career clinicians
