We are hiring a Lead Line Operator (Lead Extrusion Technician) in our Salt Lake City, Utah Facility
STARTING PAY: $25.00/HR, Depending on Experience
SCHEDULE: 6:45am-7pm, 2-2-3 Schedule
What We Offer:
The Lead Line Operator is responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor in monitoring the production processes, equipment, and personnel to ensure maximum safety, efficiency, and quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in communicating standards for process time, settings, and other specifications for optimum output and quality conditions
Provide tracking and feedback on results to staff and Extrusion Supervisor
Assist in performing ongoing checks of equipment, materials, and product. Recommends or takes action as required.
Monitor operating parameters of the extruders (OEE%).
Maintain a working environment free of unnecessary equipment and materials via 5S + audits and comply with, support, and promote all Dura-Line safety policies.
Assist production with troubleshooting and resolving processing problems
Complete production work as needed, including running a production line
Train operators on equipment usage, procedures, and adjustments
Assist with selection of auxiliary equipment used in production
Actively participate in all plant activities including training, safety, continuous improvement, etc.
EXPERIENCE & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to speak, read and write English fluently, Bilingual is a Plus!
At least 1 year of equipment/machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical requirements:
Stand and walk long distances on the plant floor for 8 to 12 hours on a shift.
Occasional climbing, reaching, squatting and bending to operate and fix equipment
Work in an environment that may be exposed to external elements (hot and cold temperatures) and occasional loud noises.
Capable of wearing required PPE (eyes, ears, feet, etc) for entire shift.
Able to lift and carry, push/pull up to 50lbs multiple times per shift
“The compensation for this position is typically $25/Hour. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to jobrelated knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
