St. Joseph Residence in Manchester, NH is a small 22 bed skilled/long term care nursing home with a family atmosphere. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Full Time Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team full-time. This role is perfect for someone with experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general facility maintenance. Snowplowing experience is a plus! You will play a key role in keeping our facility safe, functional, and welcoming. This position requires every-other-weekend availability.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and bed repair and maintenance
• Service heating and cooling  units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures and under the direction of the Director of Maintenance.
• Maintain grounds, parking areas, and driveways through trimming, sweeping, and general upkeep
• Follow maintenance schedules and complete assigned unscheduled tasks efficiently.
• Assist others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc., as requested and by using appropriate body mechanics, lifting devices or procedures.
• Maintain proper infection control and universal precaution practices during all maintenance procedures.
• Drive company vehicle to perform errands as assigned including assisting with resident transportation.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior lead/supervisory experience in an Environmental Services position.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work from blueprints, schematics and technical manuals helpful.
• Ability to participate in emergency evacuations
