Lead Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer - Join a Market Leader

The Engineering Lead is responsible for successfully implementing/supporting/managing various manufacturing platforms used for production in domestic and international locations. The Engineering Lead acts as the team lead for implementing projects.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø  Primary Job Responsibilities:

·         Successfully coordinate and schedule team members who are supporting various equipment projects, facility projects, and continuous improvement efforts.

·         Participate in emergency troubleshooting to expedite the plant's return to production.

·         Lead sourcing and installation of critical plant support equipment (chillers, compressors, towers, vacuum pumps, grinders, and electrical infrastructure).

·         Provide leadership support for equipment installations.

·         Participate and lead in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) problem solving and Continuous Improvement Kaizen events.

·         Work with the plant teams to predict, plan, and execute field rebuilds of worn equipment.

·         Define and execute plant support projects to satisfy internal customers (Plant Managers).

Ø  Job Skills

·         Plastic extrusion or injection mold experience.

·         Strong project management skills.

·         Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting aptitude.

·         Work autonomously and with minimal supervision.

·         Ability to analyze risks and develop mitigation reports.

·         Familiarity with lean processes and continuous improvement tools.

·         Strong verbal and written communication.

·         Proficient in AutoCAD.

·         Ability to work within a team environment.

         60 - 70% business related travel. 

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

v  Educational Requirements:

§  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Preferred

§  2-4 years Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plastics acceptable with experience.

§  Equivalent experience

§  Multilingual (preferred)

v  Preferred Experience:

§  Read and write fluently in English and Spanish, as needed.

§  At least five years in a manufacturing environment

§  In addition to strong mechanical knowledge and experience, electrical or mechatronics is a plus.
