• Lead mechanical system design for HVAC, chilled water, heating, and air handling systems


• Translate schematic design concepts into full construction documents and specifications


• Mentor entry-level and junior designers; review technical work and guide development


• Prepare layouts for mechanical rooms and major service infrastructure


• Conduct code research, troubleshoot field conditions, and attend site meetings


• Coordinate across disciplines to ensure clearance and trade alignment


• Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and participate in punch lists and QA/QC


• Support BIM and documentation standards; contribute to firmwide design initiatives


• Assist with value engineering, opinion of probable costs, and contractor estimate reviews


• Participate in external outreach, technical presentations, and thought leadership

• 10+ years of total experience, with 5+ years in MEP consulting design


• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering


• FE certification required; PE or LEED AP a plus


• Proficient in CAD and BIM-based design (AutoCAD, Revit)


• Strong knowledge of mechanical system design and applicable codes


• Skilled in technical mentorship, multi-discipline coordination, and project collaboration
