Lead Medical Assistant

Our busy Dermatology office in Fairfax, Virginia is seeking a personable team player for a full-time Lead Medical Assistant position.

Our team approach culture focuses on achieving excellence in patient experience. The Lead Medical Assistant position works as part of the health care team delivering a high level of patient care. In addition to a strong commitment to customer service, the ideal candidate must have the ability to multi-task in a busy office, have a positive attitude, and be a team player!

• Triage patients and present to provider
• Assist provider during exam and scribe for provider into electronic medical record
• Perform clinical tasks such as administering injections, setting up and assisting with surgical procedures  
• Return patient phone messages with provider instructions
• Call patients with lab and pathology results and relay instructions from provider
• Schedule follow up procedure appointments per physician instructions
• Assist in training new team members
• Assist with implementation of workflow; scheduling of staff members
• Managing inventory and ordering of medical supplies

• Motivated by the goal of providing exceptional patient care
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication skills, personable, and energetic
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work

Job Type:

• Full-time: Monday – Friday, 7:45 am- 5:15 pm

Experience:

• 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required
• 2 years of EMR system experience is preferred
• Education: HS Diploma of equivalent
