This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Non-Profit Accountant. In this role, you'll have a significant impact on our clients by ensuring their financial records are maintained accurately. You will manage multiple clients and handle their accounting needs, allowing them to focus on their missions. Your expertise will be essential in providing detailed financial reporting and maintaining compliance with necessary regulations. Accountabilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with client projects
- Assist with year-end close and tax filings as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally focused specifically on the non-profit sector or fund accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software
- Experience managing multiple clients
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work during normal business hours to support our clients
