Job title:  LEAD OPERATOR 

Summary/Objective:  The Lead Operator is playing the Shift Trainer role to ensure all the associates are trained and certified accordingly. In addition, they assist Supervisors to ensure orders are executed according to plan, machines are setup safely and correctly to produce quality part on time in a safe condition.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

• Responsible to provide proper training to associate according to the plan and ensure they are certified before releasing to production. This include cross training and re-training.
• Update and keep track of operator training record in training matrix.
• Support L&D (Learning and Development) group to develop the training material for all the modules at your area.
• Move the order from one Work Center / Process to next Work Center / Process and park at proper location to avoid misplacement or loss of order. 
• Assist Supervisor in:
• Ensuring and reinforce associates comply to safety requirement and work in a safe environment.
• Assist associate to setup the machine when is needed and ensure they setup according to the print.
• To perform daily routine line checks, QA checks and set up verification to ensure flawless execution.
• Follow up and work with technical/engineering team for any maintenance, engineering or process related issue.
• Ensure orders are executed per plan.
• Sending shift reports / Daily Note Communication to include weekly rate. 
• Responsible to ensure ITS performs accordingly and assist associate if there is any gap.
• Post new responsibilities or duties as assigned by immediate superior/management from time to time.

Required Experience: 

• 2 years working in production area and demonstrated coordination and leadership skill.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
• Must have problem solving and organization skill.
• Must have good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and closely coordinate with peers. 
• Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes. 
• Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist. 
• Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions: Must be willing to adhere to department safety rules and regulations.  May be exposed to noise (required to wear protective gear).  May be exposed to Hazardous Materials & Chemicals (required to wear safety glasses and other protective gear). 

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Training required: On the job training as appropriate.
