General Description

Under the direction of the Electrical Manager, the Lead Panel Builder will work as the team leader of the panel build group. They will coordinate panel builds in accordance with the project schedules. Effective communication with multiple people including Electrical Manager, Electrical Engineer, and Electricians will be needed to complete this process. The Lead Panel Builder duties also include ensuring all panel builders are working safely and the panel build area is kept clean and organized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Able to read and understand electrical schematics.
2. Able to troubleshoot electrical panels with or without the electrical schematics.
3. Ensure focus on safety when completing any assigned tasks.
4. Oversee day to day operations while creating an open communication culture and a team working environment.
5. Oversee day to day operations while delegating tasks with clear timelines.
6. Discover training opportunities and provide coaching as needed.
7. Motivate team members while listening to feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts while using leadership decision making skills.
8. Ensure all panels are wired correctly and within the panel build schedule.
9. Ensure the completion and maintenance of all required paperwork, documentation, files, checklists, etc.
10. Responsible for inventory of panel build materials, power tools and hand tools in the panel build department.
11. Must be able to be proficient with the use of power tools, hand tools, and measuring tools common to panel building.
12. Helps drive and support BCT's Culture and Core Values.

Education and/or Experience

Requires 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible related panel building experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
