Lead Payroll Processor (6 month contract) - Unlimited Growth Potential

JOB OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for generating and processing payroll and performing its underlying functions. This position is a 6 month contract that could go permanent. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Processing bi-weekly and monthly payrolls
• Audits payroll for errors 
• Updating employee maintenance, direct deposits, garnishments, etc.
• Manage, maintain and respond to content for Payroll email box
• Assist with the processing monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns.
• Keeps abreast of changes, developments regarding payroll administration, taxes and the governing of state and federal rules and laws.
• Interact with accountants regarding payroll related general ledger issues
• Report generation for managements
• Act as liaison between division management and payroll department
• Completes special projects and other tasks as assigned by the payroll supervisor or senior management.

QUALIFICATONS 

• Associates or Bachelors Degree or experience
• 5-8 years of previous multi-state payroll experience, preferably in a 300+ employee setting REQUIRED
• Excellent computer skills with LAWSON REQUIRED 
• Excellent organizational skills
• Great attention to detail
