Job Description - Lead Person, Dual Fuel & Gas Range

Description

Communicates well with assembly supervisor, peers, and assemblers to coordinate production schedules and movement of materials, share information, and schedule maintenance and repairs.
Delegates work according to product orders, production methods, machine availability, and absenteeism. Able to evaluate situations and make decisions independently.
Trains, counsels, and monitors employees to achieve job results. Redirects efforts of employees when goals are not being met. Gains respect of subordinates through action and consistency.
Capable of performing essential job results of an assembler, including being able to perform all tasks on assigned line and operating computers.
Ensures quality by inspecting parts for dents, scratches, burrs, and other defects; ensures that employees maintain acceptable levels of quality; assists quality assurance to resolve quality issues.
Ensures that employees maintain acceptable productivity levels.
Eliminates waste by following practices involved with the Lean Manufacturing Process and ensures that employees follow such practices.
Monitors work area to ensure health and safety requirements are met.
Produces the highest quality parts by continuously striving to reach higher levels of quality.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge in all aspects of the position.

Requirements

Must have good attendance, a positive, responsible attitude, and good work ethic. Demonstrates pride in their work and work area.
Knowledgeable of Kanban system and how it affects workflow through the work area.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines; must be willing to work required hours needed to reach production goals.
