Now Hiring –Lead Pharmacist

Shift: Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM or 8:30AM - 5PM

Must be available for rotating on-call coverage, including after-hours and weekends, for a full week at a time. This rotation typically occurs every four weeks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages the workflow processes which may include pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging
• Reviews medication orders and evaluates their appropriateness and completeness
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the CT State Boards of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
• Performs all job duties with a friendly, positive and team-oriented approach
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules and standards
• All other duties as assigned by Pharmacist-in-Charge

Managerial duties will be discussed during the interview.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must possess a CT State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
• Must have document management system such as Docutrack or ECM preferred.
• Positive personality who is able to work well within a team
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to withstand long hours of computer screen time and deskwork
• Must be able to stand/be on feet for duration of an eight (8) hour shift
