Job Title: Lead Production Pharmacist

SUMMARY
The Lead Production Pharmacist plays a vital leadership role within the pharmacy department, reporting to the Pharmacist-in-Charge. In addition to performing all responsibilities of a staff pharmacist, this role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production operations to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate dispensing of medications. The Lead Production Pharmacist provides guidance to the pharmacy team, helps manage workflow, and serves as a key resource for addressing production-related issues, including training support staff and assisting with complex operational challenges.

This position typically requires 40 hours per week with possible additional hours as needed and may included weekends and holidays as needed or on a rotating basis.
The role regularly requires standing, bending, walking, talking, and hearing. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Visual requirements include the ability to see details at close range, differentiate colors and brightness, and detect errors or inconsistencies in medication packaging and labeling.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience: Doctorate of Pharmacy; Active State Pharmacist license, State license to handle medication; and 1-3 years of pharmaceutical experience; or an equivalent mix of education and experience, 2-4 years long term care pharmacy experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Pharmacy and medication distribution software (Pyxis Medbank, Frameworks) Experience with long term care pharmacy software preferred.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as medication documentation, business correspondence and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to understand and interpret statistical reports, data charts and graphs.
