Lead Pre-K Teacher 4's-5's

Preschool Teacher Job Description:

Leading and teaching our fabulous Pre-K class! 4’s-5’s

Morning shift with typical working hours of 7:30-4:30, 8-5 or 9:30-6:30 PM  (shift time varies)

The ideal candidate must be able to do the following:
- The passion in their hearts to make a difference in the lives of others and in the lives of the children in our care. Must have a passion to teach children about Jesus which is our center's #1 Core Value
- A professional and positive attitude. You MUST love to spontaneously break out in a dance party at any given moment, give hugs, wipe boogers, comfort a crying child, play on the floor, have pretend conversation "on the phone" into a block while holding another friend and most of all eat pretend food like a champ!
- Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development.

Prepare and lead lessons that are geared toward kindergarten prep such as STEM activities, pre-reading activities and social and emotional learning.
- Provide basic needs to children while coaching them to do basic tasks on their own promoting independence and confidence. Fierce supervision skills,  singing and dancing and providing lots of encouragement..
- Prepare materials and classrooms for fun activities. Prepare lesson plans according to academic and biblical curricula as well as creating and posting lesson plans.
- Teach both academic and social skills and Bible lessons! Academic skills include colors, shapes, numbers and letter recognition, and personal hygiene. Bible lessons will be planned and taught according to the Enduring Faith  curriculum.
- Observe and provide basic benchmark assessments to evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Able to stand for long periods of time, frequent walking, sitting on the floor and playing with children, being able to lift up to a 40lb child in an emergency situation and sometimes run or sprint!
- You must be able to get up off the floor and stand up quickly.
- Must be able to have fun and engage with each child.
- A loving and compassionate demeanor with children. You must be prepared to be silly, laugh, love, and learn more about children at this age than you ever have before. This is by far one of the most joyous places to work, but you must be prepared to accept the challenges and benefits this job has to offer.

Desired Qualifications:

• 1 + years of experience - MINIMUM


• Age Groups: 4'-5's


• Preferred: College degree, Associates Degree in Education or Child Development, BA or higher or CDA OR willing to jump on the CDA pathway provided by Saving Grace Preschool.

Job Qualifications:
Must be able to speak English clearly and be able to communicate with other staff and parents clearly. Spanish speaking as a second language is a plus!
Must hold an FBI Fingerprint card and background check.

Complete a TB attestation form or have a TB test within the last year.
Must be Certified in Pediatric First aid and CPR (we will provide if not current). Additional training will be provided upon hire.

Must be able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; must repeatedly lift and carry children up to 40 lbs. Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with children and parents.
