Lead Preschool Teacher

The Sapling School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team in Fair Lawn, NJ. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the growth and development of young children. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a love of learning in every child.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.


• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment.


• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.


• Observe and assess each child’s progress and communicate regularly with families.


• Maintain compliance with licensing and health and safety standards.


• Lead and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides as needed.

Requirements

• Experience in early childhood education, preferably as a lead teacher.


• Relevant certifications or degrees in Early Childhood Education or related fields.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to create a structured yet nurturing environment.


• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).


• Passion for working with young children and fostering their development.
