We are seeking an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team of 32 employees. Our Preschool classroom as a range of 16 to 24 students for two teachers and we have 5 Leadership Team Members to help you execute one of the best Preschool Program experiences in Northern Ohio!! Each child enrolled in our Preschool program will receive two annual assessments, create a portfolio and follow a fun, academic schedule that has an emphasis of making learning fun. We pride ourselves on SUPPORTING our teachers in the classroom, respecting employee schedules and providing a safe, inclusive work environment for everyone!!

Primary Responsibilities:
- Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily group functions of a group of children
- Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Broadview Heights and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
- Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
- Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
- Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
- Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
- Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Primrose School of Broadview Heights Employee Handbook
- Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines is necessary.
Desired skills and Experience:
- Must have an outgoing personality, be creative and have boundless energy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to speak professionally with parents
- Previous experience at a licensed child care center/daycare
- Specific experience with children aged 3 to 5 years old
- Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of Preschoolers
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
- Bachelors Degree or working towards a Bachelors Degree; preferably in Early Childhood Education or Child Development-related field
- Knowledgeable in Preschool curriculum
