Eaton\u2019s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Lead Press Operator - 2nd Shift to join our team at Carol Stream.\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $25-$34 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential. \n\nCore hours for this role are 3:30pm - 2:00am Monday - Thursday with occasional OT on Friday.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\nEaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton\u0027s plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Lead Press Operator is expected to support the Production Supervisor for the following, Tier 1 meetings, classroom setting training and onboarding training. They are an extension of the supervisor and do have the capability of assigning work to the employees within the department. In addition, they must be able to perform assigned operation of presses to ensure part is produced to specifications. Must be willing to learn auxiliary equipment and the use of basic measuring equipment. Must be able to understand and have conversations with support teams to start basic problem solving.\n\n \nIn this role you will: \n\u2022 Support and at times, lead the Tier 1 production meeting \n\u2022 Be able to understand and respond to report boards and files \n\u2022 Define with or without the production supervisor the production plan and shift balancing \n\u2022 Suggest any training plan for team members \n\u2022 Record Basic problem-solving information for deeper analysis \n\u2022 Be accountable for the production results in your area \n\u2022 Participate in problem-solving root cause analysis \n\u2022 Ensure the knowledge and respect of standard at the press in your area (WRA, LPA, SPA, 5S\u2026) \n\u2022 Be Capable of supporting training \n\u2022 Be able to communicate with the team members and support teams \n\u2022 Willing to partake in leadership training \n\u2022 Ability to review work instructions and suggest updates \n\u2022 Check and provide all process components like lubricants and packaging, etc. \n\u2022 Visually inspect production for burrs, scrapes, rust and other defects. \n\u2022 Identify and locate proper material thickness and gauge. \n\u2022 Check production against sample and/or print using basic measuring equipment like gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc. \n\u2022 Achieve Production Schedules \n\u2022 Comply with 5s \n\u2022 Has a great sense of urgency\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) from an accredited institution\n\n \nNo relocation benefit is offered for this position.
