Lead Prevention and Outreach Assistant

Overview:

The Lead Prevention & Outreach Assistant provides daily coordination and frontline support for HIV, Hepatitis C, and harm reduction education and outreach services within Matthew 25’s Indiana Prevention & Outreach Department. Reporting to the Prevention & Outreach Program Manager, this position helps ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality prevention services, including testing, education, and PrEP navigation. While maintaining a reduced personal service workload, the Lead assists with staff training, community engagement, logistical coordination, and documentation quality. This role serves as the go-to team resource for prevention-related questions and plays a key role in sustaining Matthew 25’s presence in priority communities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.


• At least 1 year of experience with HIV is preferred.


• Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA standards.


• Experience working in a nonprofit organization or a strong desire to work in service driven environment.

• Flexibility, as our services are available to a large geographic area in the state of Kentucky, which may require some travel
  


• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background test.
