Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Project Management Specialist (Level 5) to join our Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) team in Huntsville, Alabama.

The IAMD team is dedicated to revitalizing our digital footprint to support a significant production ramp. We are seeking a talented individual who has a strong background in business, engineering, and manufacturing systems to lead this critical deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans in collaboration with Boeing Information Technology and BDS functional teams to ensure successful implementation of systems such as SAP, Opscenter, and IPDM.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct thorough analyses of schedule performance and change activities, providing regular updates to key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams, ensuring their active involvement and adherence to project commitments.
  • Project Management Standards: Execute project management activities in alignment with industry standards, utilizing established tools and reporting mechanisms.
  • Recovery Planning: Collaborate with IT and functional teams to develop recovery plans, ensuring relevant documentation is maintained and projects are transitioned smoothly to the IAMD portfolio for ongoing support.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience with critical business and financial acumen including risk, issue, and opportunity management to drive performance
  • Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representatives
  • More than 5 years of leadership or management experience working in a manufacturing/production environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Proven experience in leading multi-disciplined teams
  • Deep understanding of current system transactions and functional processes
  • Strong ability to align functional teams in support of system transitions
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience in performance analysis
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Summary pay range: $118,150 - $159,850
