Lead QA Engineer

A global financial services client is looking for a Lead QA Engineer to join their team in NYC (Financial District) - 3 days onsite hybrid. This person will be working within a mostly Agile environment so they will be expected to act as somewhat of a liaison between QA, Product and Program Management teams. He/she/they will be stepping into the Lead role, which will require effective communication, someone who wants to make a positive impact, and who has strong leadership qualities. This person should have a strong background working with Java based applications, performing analysis, writing test scripts, API testing, and have a strong enthusiasm for technology. This role will be highly visible and the person stepping into this position should also be comfortable interacting with, providing updates to, and presenting to senior management on a monthly and potentially bi-weekly basis. The team is global and you will be required to manage some offshore resources, provide them with domain knowledge, as well, so effective communication cannot be stressed enough.

Skills and Requirements
-10+ years of experience working as a QA Engineer, at least 3 years in a lead role - experience managing both onshore and offshore teams
-Strong technical background with Java based applications, API testing, writing scripts to automate test processes
-Extensive experience interacting with Senior Management to present updates
-Background in Financial Services industry
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Good attitude, enthusiastic, and strong leadership skills null
