Responsible for organizing and coordinating technical personnel, in order to ensure appropriate delivery of radiation therapy. Responsible for accurate application of ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. Under the medical direction of the Radiation Oncologist, responsible for organizing and participating in the daily delivery of radiation therapy services by coordinating personnel and their activities. Employee is responsible for performing radiation therapist duties as well as supervisory duties as assigned. Employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.EDUCATION:
LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION:
EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge and ability to operate all radiation therapy equipment and perform all radiation therapy procedures and knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures as normally acquired through 3 months of orientation. - Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a facility providing full radiation therapy services with a full-time radiation oncologist on staff.
