Reports to: Center Clinical Director
Key Responsibilities: (the below information is subject to change- refer to Lead RBT Policy for specific details)
Provide Direct ABA Services to Clients:
- Lead RBTs are cross trained and familiar with all client’s programing so be able to provide covers for last minute staff cancellation or other unforeseen circumstances.
Support New Hire Training and Ongoing Training of BT/RBTs:
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new BTs/RBTs, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and support.
- Facilitate ongoing training and professional development opportunities for BTs/RBTs.
- Ensure new staff have tablet and all necessary equipment (keep track of returned items if needed).
- Provide new hire tours, shadow packets, organizing shadowing, and developing GUAR scheduled hours for new hires as needed.
- The Lead RBT is expected to familiarize themselves with and adhere to all company policies, including those related to privacy, code of conduct, safety, and ethical guidelines. To better support and guide staff.
Train a Team of Behavior Technicians on Session Note Writing:
- Train BTs/RBTs on effective session note writing. Ensuring the BTs/RBTs are converting sessions in a timely manner.
Assist in Implementing Behavior Intervention Plans:
- Collaborate with Behavior Analysts to implement behavior intervention plans, maintaining close communication and adherence to treatment plans.
- Providing support to BTs/RBTs with clients with challenging behaviors.
Work Collaboratively with Team Members:
- Foster a collaborative working relationship with other team members, including Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), clinical supervisors, other Lead RBTs, RBT Training Coordinator, and Center Ambassador.
- Making client materials or clinic materials as needed/requested by supervisor(s).
- Assist with arrivals and departures of clients.
- Finding coverage for PTO/staff out, last minute cancellation, sick, any other instances of staff being out.
- Tracking PTO on calendar. Inputting in CR.
- Keeps track of RBT tardiness/cancellations and report to CD (CD will handle all disciplinary action)
- Keep open communication with CDs.
- Assist with providing breaks for staff working direct.
Support Marketing and Social Media Activities In Collaboration with the Center Ambassador:
- Capture content related to center activities for use on social media platforms, in alignment with the company's marketing strategies.
- Coordinating with the order of SWAG and brochures, delivery of those, and assisting CDs and leadership with outreach in the community.
- Help design flyers for events and sharing events with families, staff, and the community.
Maintain Accurate and Timely Documentation:
- Create and update client binders, information, emergency contact, and face-sheets regularly. Ensure
information is securely maintained.
Participate in Team Meetings:
- Attend team meetings, offering updates, and maintaining open communication and coordinated care.
Maintain Confidentiality:
- Strictly adhere to HIPAA regulations, maintaining the confidentiality of all client information.
- Adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Professional and Ethical Compliance Code.
Participate in Continuing Education:
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in the field of ABA.
Assist in Running Group Activities:
- Participate in running circle time and other group activities as appropriate and beneficial for clients.
- Train others in running these activities in case Lead is not available and having materials and
instructions prepared in advance.
Completing Administrative Activities:
- Complete administrative tasks related to the center, such as themed crafts or other activities that contribute to the center's culture.
- Track cleaning schedule and adherence to opening/closing procedures.
- Support in keeping clinic organized and clean (not solely Lead RBT duty)
- Contact contactors as needed for clinic emergencies (plumbers, pest control, etc).
- Assist with keeping track of clinic inventory.
- Assist with RBT interviews as indicated by CD.
- Provide client center tours as indicated by CD
Coordinate Culture Building Activities:
- Facilitate activities aimed at building a positive and supportive center culture.
Not the Responsibility of the Lead RBT:
a. Caseload Assignment: The Lead RBT is not responsible for assigning clients to BTs/RBTs.
b. Clinical Supervision: The Lead RBT does not replace the role of the BCBA or clinical supervisor in providing clinical supervision, designing treatment plans, or conducting assessments/reassessments requiring BCBA-level expertise.
c. Disciplinary Actions and Termination: The Lead RBT does not have the authority to implement disciplinary actions or terminate the employment of other staff members. These decisions fall under the purview of CDs and HR.
d. Entering/Correcting/Deleting data into CR for RBTs.
e. Creating/making schedules for RBTs/clients. Updating schedules/calendars in Central Reach unless otherwise directed by the CD.
f. Competency Assessments.
g. Development of training/meetings for staff.
