Job Description:

As the Lead Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) you will be the front-line instructor training future RBTs in 1:1 and small group settings across a variety of skill and content areas utilizing ABA therapy, discrete trial instruction, natural environment training and other evidence-based practices. This is an opportunity to expand your current RBT skills into an interdisciplinary, center-based atmosphere with access to a range of environments to work on sensory processing, daily living and coaching. The Lead RBT role will consist of a split schedule on most days, half with a client and half supporting clinical personnel, completing projects and training RBTs. You may also be asked to work in schools, home, or in the community, based upon client need and within a reasonable distance.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in any field and currently in a BCaBA or BCBA program.
  • Coursework transcripts submission
  • 6 months of active employment with Alphabet Soup ABA Pediatric Behavioral Services
  • Have reliable transportation (valid driver’s license and current auto insurance)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to give consistent constructive feedback
  • Highly punctual and professional
  • Flexible with schedule and ability to adapt to weekly or daily changes
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products
  • Willing to support across all environments
  • Skills in transitioning new Behavior Technicians (BTs) to be successful Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
  • Coaching and modeling RBTs on more advanced ABA skillsets
  • Successful completion of projects assigned by Clinical Team and regular attendance of assigned meetings.
  • Familiarity with basic daily operations of an ABA center including all opening and closing duties

Lead RBT Responsibilities:

  • Training Behavior Technicians (BTs) to implement behavior management and skill acquisition treatment plans (assisting patients with day to day activities, monitor their behaviors, record and collect data, communicate with patients, etc.)
  • Prepare BTs for successful completion of the RBT exam
  • Provide ongoing clinical training and support to trainees and current RBTs as needed
  • Assisting clinical team with initial and reauthorizations of clients
  • Support BTs and RBTs as they teach individuals with autism how to communicate, play, engage with peers, and function independently
  • Model appropriate behavior strategies and intervention goals to BTs and RBTs, as well as provide feedback when needed
  • Model data collection methodologies for BTs and RBTs
  • Monitor and track clinical progress of BTs and RBTs
  • Communicate with supervisors on the clinical growth of BTs, RBTs and patient progress
  • Travel to local sites, such as patients’ home, school, community as appropriate
  • Collaborating with treatment teams by participating in clinical meetings
  • Support BCBAs and BCaBAs with assigned clinical activities and projects
