Job Description - Lead- Rogue Valley stores- Full time

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure a superior level of customer service; to supervise location in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager; to maintain the quality of merchandising and product presentation within the location.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Provide excellent customer service

·         Direct personnel in their daily tasks as assigned by the location management

·         Ensure personal stays on task

·         Develop and work with employees to their potential

·         Supervise in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager

·         Approve returns and discounts in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager

·         Ensure a clean and safe working and shopping environment

·         Communicate with location management and personnel

·         Ensure that signing, displays, and safety concerns are addressed and corrected

·         Perform opening and closing procedures

·         Approve the morning counts on register tills

·         Offer assistance and support to location personnel

·         Perform other tasks and duties as requested by supervising manager

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         This position has supervisory responsibilities over location personnel in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

·         Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

 LANGUAGE SKILLS

·         Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

·         Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

·         Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

·         Ability to work calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

·         Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

 

REASONING ABILITY

·         Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

·         Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

 

OTHER SKILLS AND/OR ATTRIBUTES

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance

·         Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize projects

·         Independent judgment and decision making abilities

·         High level of integrity

·         Ability to perform effectively in both individual and team environments

·         Comprehensive understanding of the company and its products and services

·         Excellent prioritization and organizational abilities
