Lead School Age Teacher

We are seeking a Lead School Age Teacher to add to our growing team at our Gold (SUTQ), NAC-accredited childcare and preschool center located in Middlefield, OH.

We offer competitive pay ranging from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour (depending on experience and credentials) in addition to an industry-leading benefits package, underscoring our commitment to attracting and retaining top-quality educators and supporting staff members.

Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating educational activities and supporting the overall well-being of young children. You should have previous experience working with groups of children age ranging from 5 years of age - 12 years of age. Responsibilities

• Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth.
• Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity.
• Promote positive group dynamics for safe, fun and team-building activities.
• Actively participate in program activities while maintaining control of the group during activities.
• Supervise children during indoor/outdoor playtime, meal time, and educational activities.
• Attend all staff training, staff meetings, and professional development.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.

• At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• No college degree required.
• Current physical, and ability to pass BCI/FBI background check.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Maintain a clean and neat appearance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and support staff.
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to create a warm, nurturing and responsive environment for children and families.
• Must be dependable and maintain a good work record as to punctuality and daily attendance.
• Tdap and MMR Vaccination.
• TB Screening.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Ability to kneel, bend, squat, stand, and sit on the floor or on child-sized furniture for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move a child repetitively weighing up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work in a moderate to noisy work environment.
• Ability to assist children in an emergency situation.
• Able to meet the physical demands staying in proximity of children to be within arm's reach.
• Participate in safety drills by following the established guideline.
• Withstand outdoor temperatures and condition for extended periods of time during all seasons.
