As the Lead / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with Sciaky, you will be responsible for design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, and participating in process improvement activities. You will lead a team and collaborate with other departments (such as purchasing, operations, program management and manufacturing) on ongoing production and R&D projects.

This position is based at our Chicago office (near Midway Airport) and offers a complete and competitive compensation and benefits package.
Qualifications
-BS Mechanical Engineering;
-5+ years relevant engineering and engineering leadership experience in machine design & integration;
-Ability to read engineering drawings and sketches;
-Understanding of design / manufacturing process;
-Understanding of engineering theory and principles of design;
-Ability to work independently and with others;
-Good oral and written communications skills;
-High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual or difficult;
-High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others;
-Ability to apply engineering principles to design, test and other engineering procedures;
-Knowledge & prior experience with engineering CAD and analysis software (Preferably CREO-Windchill)
