Job Description - Lead Service Technician


The Lead Service Technician will modify, repair, and improve existing products, equipment, and facilities. The Lead Service Technician will oversee a team of Service Technicians.

Essential Job Functions

· Repairs, installs, and inspects products and equipment as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications. 

· Maintains and makes necessary operating adjustments.

· Determines material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; takes appropriate action to meet those needs and makes repairs.

· Manages and installs cables and wiring, splicing as needed.

· Creates or adapts parts as needed to make repairs and improve performance of various products and equipment.

· Performs safety checks to ensure design plans are feasible in various conditions.

· Reports potential dangers to supervisor and takes steps to resolve the issue.

· Instructs employees regarding safe working procedures and requirements when working within the facilities and with products and equipment. 

· Manage, schedule, and oversee team of service technicians to ensure a smooth workflow and objectives are being met.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to lift to 40 pounds at times.

· Frequently required to walk; sit; climb; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch and crawl. 

Preferred Talents

· Detail-oriented and organized.

· Excellent problem-solving ability.

· Ability to follow highly complex directions.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish), highly preferred.

Qualifications 

· High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.

· Prior experience working as a Service Technician or other related field is preferred.

Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to indoor conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
