Job Overview:  Guide students in age-appropriate faith development, and academic and social-emotional skills.

Job Category:  Full-time hourly preschool classroom staff (Possible 9-month school year as well if interested)

This person would report to:   Preschool Director- Ashley Holmgren

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a clear understanding of the Christian faith and possess the ability to share God’s story with children


• Bachelor’s degree in early child education or child development; Elementary Education with Kindergarten endorsement accepted (will consider other 4-year degrees depending on early childhood teaching experience)


• Have an awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities


• Have time management and organizational skills, be self-motivated, reliable, positive, professional

Expectations

• Comply with Minnesota Department of Human Services Rule 3 and other statutes


• Submit to and pass a background check through the Minnesota Department of Human Services


• Ensure the safety and well-being of each child


• Be a positive role model


• Maintain student/family confidentiality at all times


• Be CPR/AED and First Aid certified or willing to be obtained within 90 days of employment


• Be able to efficiently work with coworkers and have open communication with parents and families


• Must be comfortable working on computers and various apps, such as Office365, Brightwheel, etc.


• Have effective classroom management skills and be willing to learn


• Create lessons plans that focus on age-appropriate skill development


• Be able to kneel, bend, squat, sit on the floor to meet children's needs


• Be outside a lot with the kids and engage in outdoor activities!
