Lead Teacher (INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY)
Classification: Non-Exempt, Part-Time or Full-Time (based on existing assignment)
Reports To: LEEEC Director / Assistant Director
Compensation: Current hourly rate + $1.50/hr lead stipend
Status: Added role responsibility — existing Teacher position
Position Summary
The Lead Teacher role is an added responsibility for experienced LEEEC Teachers who demonstrate strong classroom practice, reliability, and a commitment to team support. Lead Teachers continue in their current classroom assignment and receive a $1.50/hr increase to reflect the additional responsibilities outlined below. This role is designed to strengthen communication, consistency, and peer support across the teaching team.
Lead Teachers will spend approximately 30–32 hours per week in their assigned classroom and 4–6 hours per week dedicated to leadership responsibilities, including teacher supervision, coaching, administrative tasks, onboarding support, classroom observations, and meetings with leadership. Scheduling of leadership hours will be determined by program needs and in collaboration with the Director and Assistant Director.
