We seek a dedicated Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing the development of young children aged 2-3 years. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that supports our students' social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Key Responsibilities: Being Kind and empathetic, followed by
Curriculum Development: Plan, implement, and assess a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs and interests of children aged 2-3 years. Incorporate activities that promote language, motor skills, and social-emotional development.
Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment. Establish clear routines and expectations to support the children’s growth and ensure a respectful, inclusive atmosphere.
Parental Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and guardians. Provide regular updates on their child's progress and offer guidance on supporting their child's development at home.
Safety and Health: Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment. Follow all health and safety protocols, including hygiene, food handling, and emergency procedures.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with assistant teachers and other staff members to deliver high-quality educational experiences. Support a team approach to classroom management and curriculum planning.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in early childhood education are advantageous.
- GROW NJ KIDS training experience is a plus.
- CDA
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience working with children aged 2-4 years in a classroom setting.
- Proven ability to implement The Creative Curriculum effectively.
Skills: Patience, Empathetic and kind
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
Certifications:
- CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Capacity to sit on the floor, kneel, and engage in physical activities with children
