Lead Teacher – Exploring Preschool (Toddlers) at Yellow Brick Road Early Childhood Development Center

Toddlers are explorers, problem-solvers, and bundles of curiosity—and they need a teacher who can keep up! At Yellow Brick Road, our Exploring Preschool classrooms help toddlers build independence, confidence, and a love of learning.

We’re looking for a Lead Teacher who can create meaningful, interest-based lesson plans, guide a team of co-teachers, and maintain an engaging, structured classroom environment. What You’ll Do

• Lead your classroom with confidence, setting the tone for a positive, nurturing environment
• Design and implement creative, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that support toddler growth
• Guide co-teachers and ensure daily routines run smoothly and consistently
• Support children in achieving milestones for language, motor skills, and social-emotional development
• Foster curiosity through hands-on, play-based learning
• Communicate with families through KangarooTime and build strong, trusting relationships
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets all licensing standards

What You Bring

• Lead Teacher qualifications per state requirements
• Experience working with toddlers in a licensed early childhood program
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Extensive knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) and maintain annual trainings
• Able to lift 50lbs and sit/stand for long periods of time
• Maintain active supervision with all children within sight and sound at all times
• A positive, patient, and collaborative attitude
