Job Description - Lead Technical Owner (Remote)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Technical Owner (Remote). In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the technical evolution of digital products and platforms for a client in the banking sector. Your expertise will bridge the gap between business vision and technical execution, ensuring top-tier architectural decisions, quality, performance, security, and continuous delivery. You will drive collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in an agile environment, facilitating impactful solutions while fostering professional growth.

Accountabilities

    • Lead the technical definition of initiatives: scope, focus, trade-offs, and quality criteria.
    • Ensure end-to-end execution: technical planning, dependencies, risks, estimates, and follow-up.
    • Guarantee product consistency: standards, best practices, and stack evolution.
    • Design and validate solution architecture (APIs, microservices, integrations, events) with a focus on scalability and resilience.
    • Define development standards: code review, testing, CI/CD, conventions, versioning.
    • Ensure non-functional quality: performance, availability, maintainability, and security.
    • Ensure observability and operability: logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and actionable alerts.
    • Promote reliability practices: incident management, postmortems, continuous improvements, SLO/SLI.
    • Align technical practices with industry requirements: audit, traceability, segregation, access controls.
    • Translate business needs into clear technical decisions.
    • Coordinate with enterprise architecture, security, operations, product, and vendors.
    • Support the team by resolving technical blockers and maintaining focus on value.

Requirements

    • +5 years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or technical leadership (Tech Lead, Architect, Engineering Lead, TO).
    • Proven experience in the banking/financial sector (high transactionality, compliance, auditing).
    • Solid knowledge in: designing APIs and integrations (REST, events, messaging).
    • Microservices architectures, resilience patterns (timeouts, retries, circuit breakers).
    • Relational databases and modeling (PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL).
    • Hands-on experience with engineering practices: CI/CD, testing (unit/integration), code review, version control (Git).
    • Observability/monitoring (good foundations).
    • Ability to lead technical discussions, document decisions, and align multiple teams.
    • Experience in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and product work.
