Job Description - Lead, Triage MA - Greensboro NC (GSL)

As the Lead Triage Medical Assistant, you will oversee the triage team, ensuring efficient patient flow and maintaining the highest standards of clinical care. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual ready to lead and support a team, while making a significant impact on our patients' experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and train the triage staff, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and providing high-quality patient support.
  • Manage patient triage processes, evaluating symptoms, and determining appropriate next steps for patient care.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring timely responses to patient inquiries and needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of best practices in triage and patient management.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the triage team, providing feedback and coaching to enhance team performance.
  • Participate in relevant clinical meetings and initiatives to improve the overall patient experience and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Support the front office with patient scheduling and follow-up as needed.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical assistant role, particularly in triage or clinical settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience mentoring or training team members.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical protocols, and best practices in patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software.
