Job Description - Lead Validation Engineering Technician
Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Lead Validation Engineering Technician. \u200b\n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $56000 - $ 70,000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Lead Validation Engineering Technician is an exciting role providing technical support for engineering teams in the development of new Eaton power system products and accessories. This role will support 3-phase UPS ( Uninterrupted Power Supplies) products typically utlized in commercial data centers and instituitions. \n\nWhat you\u0027ll do: \n\\- Install equipment \u0026 instrumentation for use in evaluation of power systems products \n\\- Perform product testing to industry standards \n\\- Use computer-based test equipment for recording and analysis of test data \n\\- Organize test data and prepare test reports \n\\- Fabricate, modify and repair electronic assemblies and related hardware \n\\- Test lab maintenance and organization\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Associates degree in Electrical/Electronics related degree from an accredited institution. \n\u2022 Minimum three (3 years) experience in an engineering or technical role. \n\u2022 Willing to work in a high-power lab test environment. (600vac, 1K DC).\n\n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Relocation is not available for this role. \n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Experience with low voltage electrical systems. \n\u2022 Understanding of electronic circuit theory and troubleshooting. \n\u2022 Experience with component parametric evaluation. \n\u2022 Use of electronic test instrumentation. \n\u2022 Experience with setup and test for product certifications. \n\u2022 Electromechanical prototype fabrication experience. \n\u2022 PCBA rework, modification and soldering techniques. \n\u2022 Knowledge of basic electricity. \n\u2022 Collaborative orientation.\n\n\u2022 Previous experience/knowledge with UPS and/or power electronic products.\n\n\u2022 Previous Coursework in power electronics . \n\u2022 Lab experience around high voltage where safety awareness is critical.\n\n\u2022 Must possess effective and verbal communications skills. \n\u2022 Must possess good organizational and prioritization skills to maintain and address multiple assigned projects and expectations.\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
