Lead Van Driver (FT) - ADESA Riverside

The Lead Van Driver Reports to the Transportation Manager, Lot Manager or designated manager, operate motor vehicles on and off auction premises in support of auction activities.  Transports and directs Drivers to move, stage and park vehicles in the correct lot area. 

Pay Range: $18 hourly

Schedule: Monday-Friday  8:00am-5:00pm 

**Clean Background & Valid Drivers License w/ Clean Driving Record Required**

Responsibilities:  

• Assign Auction Drivers to a lot area on or off property to move, stage and park vehicles.  


• Instruct Auction Drivers on positioning of vehicles as assigned by the designated manager.  


• Transport Lot Drivers on auction premises and assign various duties such as moving, staging and parking vehicles in the designated lot area in support of daily auction activities.  


• Direct Lot Drivers to move vehicles from one spot on the auction lot to another to maintain an efficient flow of vehicles throughout the auction process.    

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.


• Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.


• Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.


• Must have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.

This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations.
