Career Transition is supporting an industry leader, looking to add a dynamic Lead Vision System Technician to their team. The ideal candidate has Keyence Vison Systems experience with a strong background in quality control methodologies, coupled with hands-on experience in configuring, operating, and maintaining Keyence Vision Systems within a manufacturing environment. This role requires leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality control to ensure product excellence and compliance with industry standards.

What you are doing as a Lead Vision System Technician:

• Managing 2 experienced QC technicians focused on Keyence Vision Systems for automated inspection of components, assemblies, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improving inspection methods and enhancing product quality.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to investigate and resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
• Train and mentor QC technicians on the proper use, calibration, and maintenance of Keyence Vision Systems, as well as best practices for quality control procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements through effective quality control measures and documentation practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inspection processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Keyence Vision Systems and provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on vision inspection technologies and applications.

Background needs for a Lead Vision System Technician :

• 2 years of experience in quality control as a lead.
• Keyence Vision Systems for automated inspection a must.
• Proficiency in programming and configuring Keyence Vision Systems, including familiarity with Keyence Vision Editor software and image processing techniques.
• Proficiency with gauges, calipers and micrometers.
• Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, statistical analysis, and process improvement techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex inspection data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Leadership abilities with experience in supervising or leading a team of QC technicians in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information and inspection results to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in quality control processes.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, FDA regulations, or other relevant quality management systems.
