Lead VPK Teacher

We’re currently seeking an experienced, passionate Lead VPK Teacher to guide our 4- to 5-year-old learners through their most important kindergarten readiness year. This is a key leadership role—ideal for someone who thrives in a structured academic environment and is ready to make a meaningful impact on children and families.

Position Overview:
As the Lead VPK Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering developmentally appropriate instruction that aligns with Florida’s VPK standards. You will help ensure that each child receives the academic and emotional support they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.

Responsibilities Include:

✅ Developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with Florida Early Learning Standards

✅ Leading journaling and letter-writing projects to build foundational literacy

✅ Administering and tracking progress monitoring (PM1–PM2–PM3)

✅ Maintaining a clean, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment

✅ Building strong relationships with students and families

✅ Encouraging social-emotional growth through purposeful play and open-ended activities

✅ Supporting and mentoring assistant staff and collaborating with leadership on quality improvement

✅ Participating in classroom observations and feedback sessions to improve instructional practice

Qualifications (Required):

📘 Associate's Degree in Early Childhood (preferred, but not required)

📘 CDA or CDA Equivalent (minimum requirement)

📘 2+ years teaching in a preschool or VPK classroom

📘 Strong understanding of child development and VPK standards

📘 CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

📘 Passion for early learning and a commitment to kindergarten readiness

Compensation & Benefits:

💰 $17.00–$20.00/hour (based on experience and credentials)
