Lead Weatherization Technician

Description

Our San Diego, CA office has an immediate need for Lead Weatherization Technician's with their NGAT (Natural Gas Appliance Test) certification to join our direct install team, supporting the residential Energy Savings Assistance program.

The Lead Weatherization Technician is responsible for installing new energy-efficient measures, primarily home upgrade measures such as new lighting, doors, windows, insulation and removing old equipment.

Requirements

•    Responsible for the installation of measures: windows, doors, lighting, and minor home repairs
•    Follows company's handbook, and all company or customer safety and environmental policies
•    Identify all material/ equipment needed to complete the project
•    Performing all necessary gas appliance tests (NGAT) to ensure safety
•    Keep worksite clean and safely dispose of the material
•    Actively contributes as a member of the project crew, providing and supporting the training of other members
•    Respond to customer inquiries
•    Ensure projects and schedules are met
•    Attend utility program training and pass required tests
•    Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications
•    Certified to perform Natural Gas Appliance Tests (NGAT) by PG&E, is required
•    Knowledge of the energy field
•    Experience in carpentry or construction field
•    Proficient spoken and written English; bilingual in Spanish is preferred
•    Excellent communication and documentation skills
•    Participate in evening or weekend support when needed
•    Work well both independently and as a member of a high-performance team
•    Punctuality and ability to meet daily schedules
•    Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
•    Maintain a good driving record and valid driver’s license
•    Pass all background and drug screens

Position Type: Full-Time/Regular
 

Travel: Travel is required.
