Accountabilities
- Administer and maintain WebSphere MQ environments, including installation, configuration, and upgrades
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of MQ infrastructure
- Monitor and troubleshoot MQ issues, collaborating with development teams to resolve problems
- Develop and implement MQ backup and recovery strategies
- Administer and maintain Kafka Infrastructure
- Provide technical expertise and support for MQ and Kafka applications
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with WebSphere MQ or equivalent messaging systems
- Strong knowledge of MQ architecture, configuration, and administration
- Experience with Kafka and familiarity with AWS and mainframe environments
- Strong understanding of messaging concepts, protocols, and standards
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Unix shell, Perl, Python)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
